CancelThe close end version of the molded plastic zipper. 'Close end zippers' are defined as zippers where the two sides cannot be completely separated from one another. This means the slider ('zipper pull') can be pulled down to the bottom, but it is stopped by the bottom element (bottom stop), preventing the two sides of the zipper from being separated. This type of zipper is used, for example, on a coat pocket. However, we cannot use close end zippers on the front of a coat; an open end zipper is needed there.
