Kick tape

Also known as trouser guard tape or kick tape. Sewn onto the bottom of trouser legs, it protects the fabric from the abrasive effect of shoes. It is made in two versions: standard and edged. In the edged version, a cord is woven into one edge of the tape. This enhances the tape's wear resistance.
