Normal metal zippers

Metal zippers consist of zipper teeth made from various special alloys (brass, aluminum, nickel silver) and a pair of colored textile tapes that carry them. The metal chain, after the cutting and pressing process, is deburred to ensure the zipper's smooth operation. There are countless apparel applications where metal zippers are used almost exclusively. In jeans or corduroy trousers, the VT5 metal zipper made of brass is almost dominant. The use of VT10 or the very robust VT25 metal zippers is very common in leather jackets and leather bags.
